If you go with a quality tuner, they generally will make the truck run "better" not just faster. I say go for it!

Lbz, built trans, efi by Danville, Danville 68, full egr delete, mbrp down pipe, 5" mbrp to 7" stack, ppe guages, custom traction bars, airdog2 165, ppe fuel rail mods, s&b, afe blade runner, Arp head studs..died March 2015

Parts collected for the build. SoCal super damper, SoCal billet flex plate, SDP S400 kit, II 85% CP3, PPE manifolds/up pipes, PCV reroute. Slowly but surely lol

Nope, less issues. These trucks are very solid once deleted...

I don't believe he wants to delete it yet. I believe he's just asking about tuning it and keeping his emissions in tact.

I've read some testing from idaho rob's tuning with dpf in tact and have read they regen less and more efficient. There are power and milage gains with the tuning also. Maybe someone can chime in that has experience.

Correct, 1 dont have cash to delete with other stuff i did and 2, not sure ill keep forever so may want to trade in a few years. I know warranty will be gone so just wanting to know what major issues i need to worry about. I have a lift pump, sump and cai as well. My mechanic has a good relationship with a dealership they say turns the cheek, and they also do diesel work...im doing it just want to know what i need to keep an eye out for

I'd get a hold of idaho rob and ask him about his clean emission friendly tuning. I'm also about in the same boat as you with my tow pig. I bought it because I didn't wanna take the 60k hit to get a new one and I got a great deal on it. But I'd like to get just a single tow tune because my pulling truck eats up all my spare money.

I talked to Mark B. When he was tuning my lmm, and he suggested idaho Rob for a good tow tune for my lml.

Leave the tuning alone for now if the warranty is important to you.
That^^

Especially if you won't be able to foot the bill for a cp4 failure. Supposedly the revised version (is it a cp4.2?) has been more reliable but time will tell.

Im tuning its not that, i figure im at10500 problems would have been evident. What im wondering besidea def/dpf issues, which id just delete, and cp4 issues, which i added a lift pump so should help, what other issues have occured or are likely to occur that i should be aware of or watch for or can fix now

Get Trans tuning for it from Kory to increase pressure. These don't limp easy like the older ones did but they burn up.

I've used Rob for a tow tune on a 15 lml emissions intact. Have not heard from the customer for feedback.. I'll make it a point to call him next week
