Why don't you just post your question here? I'll be glad to respond to any question I know the answer to.

Yup, answering tech privately defeats the purpose of a website.

That's more a telephone thingy.

I don't consider the members here as "ordinary" diesel folk, there is a very high percentage of hardcore enthusiasts here, perhaps higher than any other diesel site.

I answer lots of questions on the phone, lots via PM, and many of the questions are all the same. Having them posted on a board helps more. But when I'm getting ready for a race, I don't have as much time as I'd like to help others.

Hopefully after Bonneville, things will quiet down, and I get to do more.

PS - Another thought. The majority of calls I get, seven days a week, are from diesel shops, or those who sell tuning to others. Few are my customers. I answer all questions to the best of my ability regardless. You might be surprised who has called for help, but that is private. But it does make me wonder why they don't call who sold them the parts.

Good point. Post your problem. I've helped alot if guys privately and am just getting used to it I guess. But for the little stuff public is definately better, especially if it's a common question

This is off the top of my head my laptop is not in front of me, but this is correct to my recolection

Open scan tool, file open dash board, duramax imperial LB7-LLY. Duramax imperial LBZ for the LBZ's. Then you select your pids, you want to log (if you are logging). Click on the green dot and you will connect. Gauges should be running.

What are you tryin to do? Are you after logging, or just the dash board?

What I said will get you the dashboard. As for selecting pids, it is an icon at the header for EFI, says PIDS. Damn i wish I had my laptop here in my office i could help you out more.

i guess what I need is a good solid list of pids to log and I dont really understand the channel thing. Is there anything I should add other than the usual, Vane position for example.

Do as Paint had suggested. The channels show at the bottom of the pid page. You can't log more than 32 channels at one time.
