tuning allison ?

I tried to tune my Allison today but I keep getting a pop up saying i need a commercial cable from efi. This is the first time i tried to upload to the trans.
could this be a setting in my software or do i have to purchase a cable?

You have EFI V2 or V1?

I have v2 and just did the update

right click open "run as adminsitrator"

When you say right click open do you mean the icon in windows

Open the tune tool, click help at the top, click register EFILive in the drop down menu, look at type, and tell us what it says. If it doesn't say Commercial Scan & Tune, that may be your problem.

Thanks. I changed it to commercial from workshop ill try it tomorrow. thanks again.
Why would you limit the software with that setting ?
