i picked up a 2008 tahoe today, does anyone know of anyone who has a great efi tune?

how much more power did you get out of the tune?

You can gain some power off a gasser but nothing like one that have a turbo or supercharger. Most remove some of the torque management that holds most of the power it can make stock wise back. Only gas tuner I know is Jesse Bubb.

its an 01 1500. 5.3 i believe.

freeing up the exhaust and intake will really help when you tune it. If you put an exhaust and intake then tune with EFI Live i bet you coul get about 40-50hp out of it. maybe a little less or more depending

He tuned my 04 silverado/STS turbo/cam .

X2 and its only like $200, but you might gain just about as much power by just removing the TQ management.

My wife had a 2008 yukon at its best fuel mileage was 12.4 mpg.She put 45,000 miles on it and we finally got rid of the gas hog.good luck

I do tuning on gas trucks too. DJMS has gotten tunes for just about everyone he knows with a GM truck from me if you want to ask him about them. There is only so much you can do without putting the vehicle on the dyno and running it with a wideband O2 sensor - but I have a lot of very happy customers getting much better mileage than they were before.
