I'm not sure which tuner to get. I'm new to the diesel world and I'm wanting a little more out of mt truck. I got a 2008 LMM Southern comfort with 6 inch lift sitting on 35 inch tires. I still have the stock exhaust and looking for a good tuner. I have read a lot about the efi live, edge and PPE tuners. I'm just looking for the best for what I'm needing. I don't do a lot of towing beside a little bass boat. I don't have any extra Gage's to keep an eye on temps ect. I seen where I can get a screen with the edge tuner. I'm not sure if I should just go with a plug and go tuner. I don't know much about tuners and I was worried about the efi being a little hard to grasp for a newbe like myself. Any ideas. I open for any and all help.

Thanks

Theres also really no need for you to post a new thread about the same topic as before. Also, the search function here works extremely well.

You would buy an AutoCal from a reputable EFILive tuner, and you load the tunes the same way you'd load tunes from a PPE or BullyDog or whatever.

For now I will leave it stock only till I free up some more funds. I figured I would start with a good tuner then go up from there. Also sorry for the repost. I'm still trying to figure out how this site works and move around in here. My bad.

Just get a used PPE economy or standard then. Once you decide to delete move to a tuner who uses EFI live. The PPE is a good starting point, the tunes are great for stock trucks and make very good power. Plus, they are a dime a dozen used...

Thanks. I did see a combo autocal, deletes and 4 inch exhaust from down pipe back for about $1,400 dollars. I did not think that was a bad deal to start with.

I'd just go with efi live. No point spending the money on a ppe and then selling it down the road. Do it right the first time and just get an AutoCal and Tunes from a reputable tuner.
