I had this guy http://ekotuning.ca/ come and tune 4 tractors for me. He brought a mobile dyno with him and he tuned a 8220, 7820, 7830 and a 7130 for me. All I can say is wow, it's like they are totally different tractors now. He gave the 7130 25 pto hp, the 78's close to 60hp and the 8220 around 50 hp. It's a lot like EFI live how he tunes them. This extra power is just for getting us up over a hill or through a tough spot, it isn't meant to run hard all day. I hope we don't have problems with the new found power as I'm loving it.

Does he do 8530's or 8270R's :D sounds awesome though. I would def be careful. Way to much money on the line
My friend just had his 8270 turned into an 8320R and he's extremely happy.
Sweet! Is there a branch down here in the states?

Yes there is, you can also buy the tuner from him and then all you have to do is pull your stock file and send it to him and then he'll send them back. I actually had the 8220 tuned last fall with my friends 8270R. I was very impressed so I wanted 3 more done and my friend had 3 more done. Makes me a little nervous but we'll see how it goes. The 7820 and 30 actually put out 220 hp on the dyno after a stock run at 158hp. The thing will climb a mountain now at 1800 rpm.

Is there any engine/trans difference in the 8270 and 8320. I would be nervous turning up the 8530 with the auto trans stuff (can not remember the name IVY, or something like that)

its probably the IVT. i wouldn't think the transmission would be of much concern, but be careful with the new engines in the R models containing all the emissions crap. I would like to learn more about this also......

The only thing I have messed with was a TS box on a 9660 combine and I couldn't tell any difference except it hazing black smoke if it was turned all the way up. Def keep us posted

What Eko does is like EFI Live does. He actually sends the tunes back to Europe and someone rewrites it and they put it back into the tractor. They aren't just giving it more rail pressure like some boxes do. If your working the tractor on it's knees all day I would be leary doing this. We have some land up country that has some nasty hills and the extra power really helps out. My dad doesn't get very excited about much but he seemed to be smiling pretty big while telling me about how he can pretty much idle the tractor now while discing.

I'm glad to hear it works good. We are thinking about doing this to our 9420. Dave, can you pm me with a rough price for doing a tractor, if you don't mind.

Very impressive. Nice to know that they have more options other than the pressure boxes for them. Do you know if they do anything for Case IH tractors? I have a guy near me looking to get a bit more out of his quadtrac and this seems like the way to go.

On a side note, is your front tires off the ground in your avatar pic? or am I just going blind?

It's $1450 and we got a better deal deal because we did 4 tractors and my friend did 3. The prices include tune tweaking.

They pretty much every brand from what I hear. He did some STX last year for a guy to take to the King of the Hill tractor pull and he made it dyno in the mid 700's. The guy turned it down after the pulls. And your not blind.

I heard of huge fuel savings doing this, I would like to know if you find any fuel savings in normal work operations.

I'll have to try and talk him into doing a couple of his tractors, and then let me run them.:D

Have any videos of that pull?
