I have a C4500 work truck that will idle @ 700rpm at start up for aprox 5-7 seconds, then the rpm raises to 1000 and stay's there. If you put the throttle to the ground it will limit it self to 2200rpm max. At first I thought it might be the tow tune, so I loaded the stock tune back in, and it still does the same thing. I just changed the fuel filter (after prob. was present) because the truck got low on fuel about four days ago. I thought maybee it was plugged, No luck there. I have a log file saved, but it will not let me load it to the site. No codes show at all either. Any ideas? Truck is otherwise 100% stock

pto's should not be engaged at higher than 2200rpm

Reasons being what they drive shouldn't need to exceed 2200 rpms or just the load on trans or ????

Just curious, never knew we had pto option. I take it the kodiak is the only one with it available. Will an HD trans support pto??

yes on the first question in red. our hd trans will also, if it has a pto gear in it. only bad thing is our floorboards are like an inch from the pto covers and you cannot bolt a pto BOX TO THE TRANS
