truck wont move

Just got the stage 5 ppe kit installed and topped it off the tranny took about 20 quarts of fluid and started up like always with no noise or anything but i go to put it in gear and nothing happens. Any ideas?

What year is the truck? Codes? Does it say shift range inhibited?

Pull the pressure plug -- close to the filter-- start engine and see if pressure oil comes out-! If not, you may have the pump gasket on wrong-!

Coulda not had the converter in all the way and broke the pump gears... They're a pain to install...

I took that plug out and started it and fluid came out and had some pressure behind it. It has no codes at all.... how can i tell if the shift linkage isnt hooked up right? its a 2004.5 lly... and how do i get ahold of dan

Just pull the pan-- and check. In 10 minutes you will know.

Mike L told me when I built mine to never put one in reverse after a build. If memory serves me right it was the E shift valve that can stick and cause a no move issue if there was any debris in the trans it can make this one stick, might pull the valve body apart and see if anything is sticking.

That happened on my first build but the truck still moved. Was just in limp mode.

It all depends on where the E shift valve got stuck. It can cause no movement but it will aslo throw a P0782 code.

ok so i got the truck to move but it will not move in reverse at all. i can pull the round connector and it sends it into limp mode and it will move in reverse. Also it moves in forward but it doesnt move worth anything it just revs up and i can get to about 10 mph.

If I unplugged the round connector at the back of the engine and it works in 3rd and reverse would that sound like the nsbu???

It can. Install a new one and make sure it is adjusted properly or it can get worese.
