Truck sat for about 2 weeks. I got in, fired it up, and dropped it in drive to depart my shop. The truck did not start to move for probably 15 seconds. I did not hit the throttle. It slowly started to move and then performed normally. Fluid is between the marks and has no leaks. Guessing the pump lost prime. Is this a sign of a problem?

Probably just converter drain back. I wouldn't worry about it.

People should really let there trucks warm up a bit before taking off. Even if it's just 30 seconds on a warm day. Just starting and taking off isn't really the best policy with a diesel.

Converter drain back. Mine was real bad after a week of sitting. Had mike put the updated sealing rings in last refresh and it's much better at holding fluid now.

Warm up your truck? What's that :joker:

I try not to go above 2500 RPM until my coolant is above freezing. Though I was up at 2600 RPM with 17*F coolant while I was tuning the cold modifier tables. I honestly believe modern engines (if built correctly) will handle the temperature a lot better than people expect. My truck runs and drives fantastic once the coolant is above freezing. I try and go easy on the throttle (<50%) until it hits 140*F, but if I idled until it was warm, it would take me 30 minutes before I left my driveway. My normal winter commute is start & idle for 60 seconds, drive "gently" (lol) through town, and by the time I hit the on-ramp, it is 140+F and I just go for it.

As for the OP's truck no moving after 2 weeks, I concur, it is drainback. If it did that after sitting over night, I would be concerned, but after 2 weeks, just let it idle for 60+ seconds then go.
