Ok I have to vent a little bit:mad:. Well last night around 3:30 am I get a call from the police saying come out to my truck because it was broken into, along with a couple other cars. I walk into the parking garage and sure enough, passenger side window was broken out and a cop walking around it:(. The good news was nothing seems to be stolen and the police think the vandal got scared and ran before he could get anything. Unfortunately they havent caught the guy, but im trying to stay hopeful that they will. Just makes me angry that there are people out there who dont give a crap about other peoples property, and dont respect the fact that I dont want to wake up that early in the morning to that kind of news:spit:
The good news is hopefuly I will get the window replaced later today and that it was only a side window and not the windshield or rear window, and that the window tint that was on the previous window kept most of the glass from falling all over the place.

I feel your pain man:hug:

My truck got broken into when it was sitting in the parking lot at work, in broad daylight, with people around and on camera. They went through under the passenger keyhole with a screwdriver. It was pretty wild to watch on video cause they were in my truck in under 10sec. They only got my ipod but it messed the door up. The cops still never caught them even with the video. They got my truck and 3 superdutys that day.

My old truck got broken into at the dealership while they were replacing my heater core. It was sitting outside waiting on parts over night. Those punks got my whole sound system and my road side toolbox. Then keyed every body panel on the truck and dumped a soda all over the drivers seat and carpet. Talk about pissed. Dealer wouldn't be held liable for anything.

well i got the window replaced, so i dont have to have to worry about people getting into my truck anymore:thumb:

yeah this will for sure be my last year in an appartment building with a garage...too easy for it to get messed with and there is no form of security that i know of in the garage to catch this kind of stuff.

Also good news for me, this wasnt vandalism, it was attempted robbery and the guys got spooked before they robbed my truck. when I was getting the window fixed the other car that was broken into was getting his done too and he had his gps and mabey a few other things taken:eek:

Sorry about your troubles, I've been there before.

Last christmas, someone broke into my truck in a quiet neighborhood, broke both of my headrest monitors (they couldn't get it out), my double din radio, ripped the rearview mirror which broke my windsheild, and spilled diesel kleen on the floor. I drove for over 4 months with no radio. It was too quiet for me. I bought a new radio now, got my alarm/remote start fixed (hopefully it will keep those a$$holes away), but my tv monitors are still broken, the insurance wouldnt cover enough to what was damaged, I had to pay for my windshield too! They wouldn't cover all the radio stuff because I had no receipt for it (bought it like that).

Yeah, my wife's jeep was broken into in broad daylight in the lot at a local park. She was jogging and the cops said that the bad guys probably watched her leave dressed for running and knew she wouldn't be back soon.
They blew out the DS window and grabbed an ipod and her purse. Sheriff said they were probably gone in seconds, stuck a flat blade screwdriver between the window and the track and dropped it just like a prick punch.

I knew that cars weren't actually secure but it's amazing how fast a real pro can hit one and be gone.

Tinted windows help alot, no point in breaking into something if you can't see something to steal.
