I was taking my old C-10 for tuning at Dustin's. I don't like a lot being done with it. That Load Trail with that hydraulic dove tail works good with a long set of ramps, but that trailer is heavy. The rear air bags on my old red truck make it sit level and ride a little better.

What is Dustin doing now? I saw he shut down diesel addiction...

I like the 28bh too. I like what ‘all about rv’s’ on YouTube did to the interior of theirs.

Picked up the truck at the end of April and the camper in early May.

Used the LB7 quadrasteer Suburban 2500 to pick up a too-cheap-to-pass-up mildly wrecked LLY.

I didn't have a clamp on the heater hose (and even got a clamp out to put on it, then forgot) and on a long climb blew the hose off, dumped all the coolant. Ended up having to drive a bit without coolant to make it safely to the next exit. It killed the water pump, but hopefully the head gaskets are OK. No hard hose, so I'll change the oil, go a couple thousand miles, then pull a sample and see what's up. :/

Eh, if I add a LB7 head gasket job to the price of the LLY, still probably a good deal. Mostly just pissed at myself because I noticed the missing clamp before it caused a problem, BOUGHT A CLAMP, then DIDN'T INSTALL IT lIke a dumbass.

nice ! How’s it do at highway Speed ? Our camper has a hitch on the back but I have always been scared to throw the single axle utility trailer on the back with the sxs

Thanks, It’s not a speed demon off the line but it pulls well at 60 mph in 5th gear. I did do 70 just to pass a guy. At 60 mph fuel consumption remains reasonable at 12.6 mpg. I don’t feel the boat and the RV has a rear camera so I can watch what the boat is doing. Makes hitching up real easy. Unit is 70’ from front bumper to prop.

Better watch that OAL. I think Texas is 60' for non commercial vehicles like that. I know a lot of states have restrictions on OAL for non commercial towing. Someone up north (Idaho or Montana possibly) does not allow double towing at all. State troopers sit at line and write tickets, make you drop the second trailer and come back to get it later.

I’m good up here in the provinces I frequent. 75’ is max length and if truck or camper has a GVW of over 10k pounds you need a class 3 license. Under that GVW is regular class 5. Lead trailer must be a fifth wheel. I won’t be travelling to the USA with the boat.

Looks like youre going to need some rear suspension help once that trailer gets loaded down, though....

Oh yeah! It’s still an inch low in the back due to no overload spring, which also didn’t help. I have 2” blocks for the back and airbags will be in shortly.
