Allison 6sp: Truck thinks it's in Manual no crank

Ok guys I'm new to the duramax community. I have a 2006 that I got with a blown up trans. Purchased a renamed trans and installed it. Truck was running and somewhat driving before the old trans cams out.

Now the new trans is in the truck thinks it's in Manuel no matter what. When hooked up to the scanner it does not recognize gear changes. I can go from park all the way down and it has no idea. Tried a new tcm with no luck. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Dumb question, but is the shifter cable hooked up to the shift linkage?

Yup shifter is hooked up and working like it should. I'm starting to lean twords the switch inside the trans

I've never seen one go bad on the 6 speeds, but it's possible. I would at least drop the pan and make sure it's plugged in. Of course, it could have been damaged when it was remanned.

If it were not plugged in wouldn't the scanner show a code for it ? I have no codes at all

Make sure you got a 6 speed trans installed.

Check the NSBU switch as well. Also connectors and fuses.

You sure that pins installed right on the linkage
