So its been over a year now and i still cant get this thing going ugh where to start... so last april #1 injector shorted to ground shutting off injectors 1,4,6&7 swapped it out and ran fine for a week then #7 injector shorted, shut off the 4 same injectors. tested the ficm harness seemed good, changed #3,5,&7 injectors at this point since i had the passenger side open again, got it back together and ran good for only two days this time, then #6 injector shorted, same thing shut off #1,4,6&7. At this point i was told i can just change the solenoids instead of the whole injector so i bought 4 brand new solenoids for the driver's side from accurate diesel and from what i read the solenoid swap seemed simple just un screw the old ones and screw on the new ones so i did and re attached everything and went to start it which it did not and a lot of fuel came shooting out the exhaust, after posting a separate thread about that incident i was told it sound like an injector is sticking open causing the raw diesel shooting out the exhaust so it seemed i installed the solenoids incorrectly, an individual who replied to my post said i possibly lost a spring off an injector while installing the solenoids or something got stuck in there or something so i just checked the 4 drivers side ones and each one has a spring and no debris stuck in there or anything, is there something i failed to do installing the solenoids? And as i was dis assembling today i broke a terminal off one injector i guess i had it too tight is there a torque spec for that? And on top of all that i still cant find out why the injector solenoids are shorting in the first place, truck has been to the dealer as well as two "diesel specific" repair shops and no one cand find the cause just charge me for labor and say its fixed. before all this the injectors were replaced by dealer 4 years/60k miles ago with zero issues until this originally happened about a year ago, any ideas on this at all would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
