EFILive trouble connecting on already tuned truck

Hey guys my buddy just bought my dads truck that I had already put a mild tune on, well we put a dsp5 switch and gauges in and for some reason now I cant connect to the truck, I keep getting "only external and calculated pid's can be logged. when connected to flashscan only. an obdII controller must be detected before obdII pid's can be logged." Anyone have any idea what happened? We put the dsp pins in 69(red wire) and 49(black wire) and we checked the plug a million times and everything looks good and the truck still runs normal Are there any fuses to the obdII port or anything that could've blown maybe? Thanks for any help guys!

The only fuse I know about is the cig. lighter fuse. But if its blown your EFI module wont even power up.

well I know its just that truck because it worked just fine on mine, I've never had a problem connecting to any truck. I'm wondering if maybe he screwed something up when he put his gauges in maybe??
