tried 2nd gear lauch

well i tried a 2nd gear lauch.... only got 3 runs in due to rain. but here is the best i ran tonight with the best i have ran to date. not sure if it is helping or not. but i think i could get better with some more pratice

That is why your mph is so high... you have lots of wheel spin get your 60's down to 1.72 or quicker and your mph should settle back down to 104-105 and get you around 12.5-12.6

Mph is in the 12.40 area...so get the 60 fixed and you'll be fine.

how do i get my 60's down? less tire psi? different tires? less rpm's more rpm's

Less RPM. Maybe only 100/200. Just need to lessen the spin. I wouldnt go much less air pressure than what you did. Tire type/compound would play into it, too...what were you running?

Im still a chickenshit to try a 2nd gear launch...what were your impressions of it? Clunking? Did it run the trans hot like the other guys have said?

it wasnt to bad, i will say i think it heated up faster even with just 3 runs. i think it could help me out if i can get use to lauching with it. maybe next weekend i can go back to the tracking see how i got pushed back some for the deployment

What tire psi where you running? I know I've had mine lower then what dustin used in his just to stop wheel spin.

When you get more time at the track play with tire pressure a little bit. If you get spin try to lower the pressure 1-2 psi then try again. I think on my street tires (uniroyal's) I was running 30 in the front and 22 in the rear, that was as low as I'd take them but they still spun a little if I launched too hard.
