My Dad has an '02 Suburban that is due for a transmission fluid change. He wants to run Transynd in it.
Is it okay/safe/recommended to run Transynd in the 4l80e? I know that it calls for a Dex III fluid, and the Alli TES-295 fluid exceeds that, but it says nothing about it on the Transynd jug.
I know it is a simple question, but a search on this site, a call to the GM dealer and a call to the Alli dealer yielded no results.

I've had limited experience with 4L60s and 4L80s...They lasted between 90,000 and 120,000 miles...I wouldn't change the type of ATF, Mike would know for sure...

you can run transynd in a 4L80 just fine, the local allison dealer here runs it in their [4L80 equipped] Chevy express parts delivery vans.

TranSynd will work fine in the 4L80. Chris has a valid point cause it gets scary changing out fluid with that many miles, but if the trans is sound it will be ok.
