OK let me start off by saying I am a newbie to Duramaxs. Anyways my truck sometimes when I take off in it on a hot day, it jolts and then gets stuck in what I think is 2nd gear, and will not shift out. I have to pull over, cut it off and then key the switch a few times so that it resets it self. After it resets, its fine. Is this transmission limp mode? Or does it have anything to do with nsbu switch? Like I said, it happens a lot in warm temperatures when it sits all day. Has done it a few times in colder temperatures, but nothing compared to it on a hot day. My truck is a 05 lly duramax. No tuner or anything like that. It does have a air intake, Lbz turbo inlet, flo maw lift pump and a few other mods. I am not the original owner but I have babied it since I purchased it 3 years ago. Haven't got it scanned for codes yet because the engine light isn't on but if that will help I will definitely get it scanned! Any help will be appreciated. Also I don't know if this would have anything to do with it or not but the front passenger side abs sensor is broken at the hub and that light is on.
