Allison 5sp: Transgo vb valves

Hello,I have finally got my built ally in and working well,While I was diagnosing the issues I had I removed the 04 valve body/w g syl that contains my transgo mods and swapped for the 02 stock vb with no transgo.Now that I have the trans working well I want to install the rest of the transgo in the vb and here where I need advice.Should I use the o4 vb with the transgo and the g syl with the lb7 internal harness or use the 02 vb and put the transgo valves in it?will the 04 vb work in the lb7 with the g syl not hooked up? if it will id rather use that because its already done.And is there a difference between lb7 and lly internal harness other than the g syl wire,will it work in an lb7?I appoligise for the long read and all the questions as im trying to wrap this up today.Thanks for everyones help with my first ally build!!!:hug:

The 04-05 valve body supercedes the 01-03 valve bodies. It will work fine with the G solenoid unplugged.

Thanks Ferm!I have a internal harness from a co-pilot that it in really good condition and my original lb7 harness that has a leak through the center,Can I use the co-pilot harness or is it different in any way exept the g wires and if I use it should I leave the g unplugged.

If you decide not to use the 04 VB with the g solenoid and harness I may be interested in taking it off your hands. I have an 03 trans in my 05 right not and rather than messing with the tcm OS. I'd rather just put an lly VB in.

To answer your questions. Yes they'll both work with either harness like ferm said.
