I know this has probably been asked a million times but I've been out of the loop lately.

Is a transgo and torque converter enough to hold tuning alone on an LMM? I will not be doing turbo, nitrous, twin cp3 etc. The truck has less then 1000 miles on it and I won't tune it until I upgrade the trans.

Thanks

Mike L lives a looooong way away from me. Probably about 2000 miles away.

I had a SC3 in my LLY and even with nitrous I never limped it in ~70,000 miles. That trans served me very well.

Yep finally got a new truck.

House and family are doing great. Work is keeping me busy enough that I haven't been able to spend as much time with either as I like but that's the way it goes.

It won't hold bigger tunes.

Is there a difference between a 5 speed and 6 speed converter? Do I need to make sure I get a 6 speed converter?

I have 2-5 speed converter cores here. Are there any suncoast dealers that will take them and give me anything for them towards a suncoast kit? I imagine converters are a dime a dozzen now.

Says you:D

Mine holds and hasn't limped yet with my tranny set-up and the basic mods done to my big truck with as big a tune as I can run in it. I get too high in EGT's or lose rail pressure before it gets to the limp point:rofl:

But it won't last as long as if a guy did a complete trans build that's for sure.
