Good morning guys, I just ran across a problem in my pickup and I can't seem to figure it out. I have an 03 with the push button 4x4.
When pressing the button it flashes then reverts back to 2x4 if I try 4x4 low, it flashes longer and ultimately still reverts back to 2x4. I don't hear any electric motor noise like its trying to shift. I checked the wiring and wiggled the plugs, is there anything I should check before I just go and replace the shifter motor?
I just used it for hunting about 3 weeks ago and it was working fine then. The transfer case was replaced by the last owner at the dealership about 25k miles ago, but I don't know if that typically includes the shifter motor or not.
