Well after 20k miles and a clunk in my T-Case i finally found a used unit and pulled mine.

Looks like heat got to the forks. The output shaft lock ring even made itself a new groove in the rear case. At least it had the pump rub fixed, lol

Mine sounded like a bad u+joint when shifting especially going from park to drive or reverse or back and forth.

The dealership addressed the pump rub problem but i guess they didn't see the pin hole it rubbed on top of the case. It kept running dry of fluid. Id check it every 2 weeks and it would be about a quart low.

The chain gear behind the pump has enormous slack under it. Not sure what it rides on, bearing and everything seem good, i may try and do a full rebuild down the road for a spare.

I found a used unit off craigslist that had a lot of new parts including the pump and a merchant pump rub fix. The rear case had been DIY repaired so i have a new magnesium rear half coming along with a few new seals and lock rings.

So as of now i have $500 in the used case and $250 in the rear half and extra parts.

Cool thanks. My front and rear driveshafts have some play and a bit of chain slop but no noise. Just been keeping an eye on it

I had a local shop say it sounded like slack in the chain. The first day I had the truck home I put a new rear seal in the case and pulled the plug with the dent spring and plunger on accident. I ended up loosing the plunger, which I'm glad now cause if I was to have tried to engage 4x4 I say things would've been a whole lot worse.
