I've gotten my 6 speed trans torn down most of the way; They definately changed things in the C1/C2 clutch housing assembly. The question there is how do I get it apart past the clutches and the first (and only) visible snap ring? The clutches are out and I got one set of return springs out. Do they come out like the 5 speeds and just have to work it out?

The other question is how do I get the detent rod retianing pin out? Just latch on to it with a pair of vice grips and twist it out?

Yes, I know I don't need to tear it down this far, but like the one I just finished, I want it to go back together squeaky clean. A fri3end is going to put the case parts in a hot bath this weekend to get them super clean.

Why don't you call me?

It's not a hot rush and I don't want to be a pain in the a** calling you every 10 minutes for Mickey Mouse stuff that I don;t need to know or get done right now . I try to save the phone calls for more important things such as when I'm in a bind. I do need to call you about a kit or two though.

I got the pin and detent rod out. Just needed a pair of vice grips to get a good grip on it and wiggle it out. Any thoughts on the C1/C2 assy?

Mike, could you give me a shout in the morning when you have a few minutes to discuss the kit(s) I need?
