Trans swaps

I have a two part question- I am switching out my built '01 trans with a spare '04 I have sitting on the shelf and selling the truck. Then I want to take the '01 trans and putting it into a '07. What is involved with both swaps? I have the '04 into the '01 already and the cooler line are different. What is the part number for the right fitting? I thing that's all that I have to change on the one. The next swap is putting the '01 into the '07. Here is what I think I need to change out- valve body internal wiring harness neutral safety switch and cooler line fittings. Am I missing anything else? Also what is the part number for those?

I would build the 07 trans before I would swap in a built 01 trans. There are ALOT of changes between the 01 and 07 internally, and the 07 has ALOT of internal improvements that make it better. If you insist on swapping in the 01, it is going to be basically a trans build to get everything to work, or you can hack it to just make it work. You would be WAY ahead to stick with the 07 trans though IMO.

I agree with what you are saying but I don't have the money to build the '07 right now. What do I need to do these swaps then?

That still doesn't help me. Can someone tell me what is involved to do this. Also still need to know what cooler line fittings I need for the '04 into the '01.

GM part # 88996640 cooler fittings will adapt an '04 into an '01.
