So can you have Excessive converter slip with no codes? The truck doesn't always do it, just sometimes.

I'm running an edge race on 80hp, and a transgo kit.

i believe it can but you would also see trans temps getting higher than normal as well. specially in our heat. bring up the converter slip % on the edge and moitor it when the converter is locked in.

Thanks for the input, my edge cs doesn't have the option to monitor slip, I just feel it. Temps have never gotten over 180. I'm not sure what high is for temps. It felt like converter slip, a clutch should throw codes, or so I thought.

Debating whether it's time to build it. Mikes new converter maybe

IIRC clutch codes and the convert won't. Don't take this the wrong way but I don't think your feeling slip. There are some many defuels and qurkes with the Ally you really have to know your trans, tuning, and have some way to do some logging. to know if its slipping or something else. But on a 80 hp tune, oversized tires, and a truck has been ran hard you might have really put a hurt on the trans and its slipping.

Sometimes you get the sensation the trans is slipping when it's just that the converter hasn't locked. With my Predator if I had it at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle it would seem to excelerate slowly and the engine would rev and I felt like I wasn't going anywhere. At full throttle the converter would lock and it moved pretty good. I switched to PPE and even though I had more power the issue was not as bad.
