LLY: Trans or transfer case (or speed sensor)

Damn.... taking my corn and stuff to my hunting land and this motorcycle gets in front of me and almost stops. I hear a clunk and service brake system shows up, and CEL. I stop the truck and check the codes P500 and 700. Wont get out of first gear now. I cleared the codes with a Edge CTS but its still show up. I was only going about 10 mph when it happened and wasnt hammering down on it. Truck has 221k miles on it, duramax tuner trans safe tunes. I'm going to try turning the ignition key off and on 3 times to see if it gets out of limp mode. Also gonna see if there is any leaking form the transfer case. I really hope this is just a speed sensor. Anything else i can look for?

thank you, I wasn't sure if I would need to get someone who could dig a little deeper in to those error codes or not.

Once you clear the codes; get a scanner that can read wheel speed sensors and log them.

I found someone who had the exact same issue and his was the transfer case speed sensor. I've ordered one and I'm gonna give it a go since its easy (and cheap) to swap out. If that doesn't work, I'll see if I can borron one of those scanners since I cant get out of first

ill bet it aint the sensor.... if it is, you better make sure that tone wheel never hit the old one

well damn, what do yall recommend for a scanner to find out exactly? I'm gonna have to get it towed where ever I go since it won't get out of first but at least I'll have an idea
