About 2 weeks ago I had my balancer pin shear off and cause a world of hurt on my truck, I got awesome tips and info from a few guys on here and got it fixed, I went to fix a "leak" between my trans and transfer case and found that I broke the rear housing!!!!!!.........
So I got another and we swapped it out, everything was going smooth......too smooth. Got the trans back in and checked and double checked all connections, filled it with fluid and go to back out of the garage. It backed out perfectly, I checked the fluid after a while of it idling outside the door. I tried to pull foward and it automatically throws an engine light (P1711) and feels like its slipping in 1st, reverse still works fine. We went back over to the shop last night to check every connector, they are all good, of course that would be too easy. So the next step is pull the pan and check the valve body, it is refering to solenoid E, in the past I had some 3-4 shifts that were hanging a little but most of the time it shifted fine. I was wondering if that E solenoid would have been acting funny before and now is junk? Also we did take the rear housing off, but the code doesn't show any info about C4 or C5 that is what is located there right??
Any info would be appriecated, seems like my truck is broken all the time!!!!!
I guess with power comes broken parts. Just recently I have broken an axle, water pump shit the bed, balncer issue, and now this........I can't wait to get it up and running again, it sucks driving an 88 2wd pick up with 250k on it while your truck is on the lift for 2 weeks.
