Help: trans gets stuck, nothing past 3rd

just bought the truck a week and a half ago...
2001 reg cab long bed lb7 efi live dps5 switch holley blue 1/2 lines....

guy said the trans. is built with only 5000 miles....
4 disk convertor(yes it is actually a REV MAX 4 disk "called rev max and verified they built the converter) red alto clutches, transgo ,....

truck done well for two days then in D would get to 3rd and wouldn't shift to 4th unless you let out of the throttle and then it'd go in 4th and 5th just fine.....
the trans doesn't slip once in any gear or kick out so i'm not thinking clutches.
couple days later it wouldn't even go to fourth and when it did catch in gear it was stuck in 3rd, no down shift or up....
throws p0700, p0734, p0735, p1721, p1723, p1875
its like when it goes to 4th its in neutral....
only thing other than that happened was the light around the D would flash every now and then.
i've read up and read up on this issue and have done the following thing to try to fix
NSBS new
changed fluid, spin on filter
changed Sol. B
took valve body out and apart flushed and re-installed

now only gettin
p0700
p1721
p1860
i've read up on all these but i can't pin point anything wrong.....
but if anyone can help more with this problem i would greatly appreciate the help,....

ok after alot of research and reading and sh*t i have narrowed it down to something to do with the C2s not engaging or something to that effect...since i have P,R,N & 1-3 means all solenoids are working and it isn't limping to 2nd...so therefore somewhere between C3 disengaging and C2 engaging i have an issue.....
Any ideas or thoughts on that? Sound about right for the specs on how the allison works...i'm not a transmission mechanic and don't claim to be...just need some input on the subject.
If the trans was built and everything is in it that the guy i bought it from said...what would make the C2s not engage? Clutchs themselves? valve body damaged?

Your C2 clutches are most likely smoked. Going to have to have it pulled and disassembled to see.

F!.... that sucks since one of the strongest sellin points of the truck was it had a "built" trans in it.

i'd be glad to drop it off and have it taken care of cause i've already about had my fill of the trouble, but between the budget after buyin the truck and no way to trailer it to Ga. is both in the way of it....
are these trannys hard to rebuild or would i be better gettin one already together and doin a R & R?

:banghead:Ok this just keeps gettin worse before better......
Jumped in the truck to drive it around to the garage to drop the tranny, in park and neutral it sounds like something is loose in the tranny, rattle/chatter from the tranny and it shift really hard from 1-2 and the 3-2-1 shifts...like kick in the ass hard....

Stop driving it, you are making it worse... Did you cut the spin on oil filter when you changed it? It would tell the story of what is wrong. If it is full of clutch material then its time to pull the transmission out. Did you see any clutch material in the pan when you dropped it to look at the valve? Was the oil burnt smelling?

i haven't got to actually drive the truck since the second day i bought it.......

oil didn't smell burn but was dirty....there was some clutch material but not much at all nor was anything but slugde on the magnet really....
i didn't cut the filter open to look at it because i was thinking it was gonne be something simple because of being told it was a fully built trans with only 5000 miles on it....(guess says it all right there about the seller) but i'm gettin pretty sick of the bowtie already thinkin i was better off with the goat i just got out of...

not real sure,.... rev max built the convertor, as far as the rest of it i'm not sure....

the guy that had it before me,.... can the efi make this problem? would i be better off taking it to a gm dealer and having the lastest flash back to stock?
before diving into a tranny swap out?

If the splines are gone on the planet and hub; it usualy means bad tuning. The tuning caused a massive tie up on the 3/4 shift. We used to see it all the time. Now we hardly see it unless we have a new tuning expert with EFI.

I think it is probably too far gone. Have someone put a Tech 2 on it and command 4th gear and see if it's there.
