Im going to change my internal filter soon and am thinking about adding a deep pan. Dont know if its worth anything as far as temps like it shows on the website, or just for looks and a little more fluid. Any info would be great, thanks .

A deeper pan does not help cool the trans it just takes longer to heat up that being said it takes longer to cool down there are better options such as a bd or ingelwood trans cooler

Understand, only reason I was asking is because I am going to replace the internal filter, I dont have any temp issues so far, I was just reading the adds claiming lower temps. Thanks.

I run the stock pan on my built trans. Racing and driving in 100 degree heat, ive never once seen my trans temp go over 200 degrees.

pulled the same heavy 5er last summer with the stock pan, this summer with the deep pan I can say it runs cooler in the same hills at the same speed and hotter outside temps

I'm also wonder on the deep pan. I've got a built Trans and my cruising temp is 184-189 if I hot rod it a bit it'll go up to 205-210. Might have to go with a better Trans cooler

My trans temps get well over 200 on hot days but typically cap at 220. Hot lapping in the sand dunes doesn't allow much air to pass over everything and it gets warm, noting too crazy tho. Rule of tumb is 100* over ambient air temp is normal. If it gets hotter start figuring out how to cool it off, if its only getting hotter when your beating on it, its too be expected.

Make sure when putting on the deep pan you also get the deep pan filer as the neck is longer.

It might take longer to heat up and longer to cool off but if your driving 100 miles and you only have one 9 mile hill to climb it may only gain 10 degrees instead of 30 and in the long run keep a lower average temp.
