Trans Crapped The Bed :(

After building my motor I wondered how long the trans would last since it is just a gmax alto kit with all the Mike L springs. Today I took the truck out for a couple test runs. After the second one as I went to stop the back tires chirped. Went to baby it home and when I got close to home the trans would lock up instantly in Drive. Had Reverse but no forward. Through the P0700 code on my cs. Cleared it and nothing. Coasting down the hill it even locked up the rear wheels in neutral. Must have some welded clutches. Could not get codes cause they did come back after I cleared them. Time to let a pro build it.

That sucks, cs won't show actual Trans codes past just a 700.

Any noises coming from it?

Ahh that sucks man. Been there. Done that. More than once lol!

Isn't the Gmax kit a good kit? I've heard good things about it. What are you using this round?

I'm waiting for this also lol pretty sure I have drove through the convertor a couple times. but then again I built mine in 2010 and it has lived at 600+ for 5 years now and now has mid 800's in front of it. thinking a Goerend kit this time with a higher stall. all I can get out this one is 1800. that ain't gonna cut it with this big single.

No noise. In drive it just locks up

Update. C3s are shot. Still trying to figure out the cause. All other clutches look great. Steels not warped.

I keep getting a p0802 code with mine but I haven't hooked up to the trans to see what the actually TCM code is there. no check engine light yet.

I'm new to this and have learned a lot from Mike and Evan. My brain has been filled with a bunch of great info for next time. Hopefully can get it going again before end of the month. I want 10s before winter.
