I need some help, I'm picking up my truck tonight from the trans shop and I have a second cooler sitting in my shop that's brand new. My builder said to run it in line with the original for added cooling capacity.

I need ideas on where to mount it and what line to get to go from the first cooler to the second. If I can mount the cooler next to the other I can run the two lines already in place.

so he told you to run it through the radiator, stock external cooler then this 2nd external cooler? seems odd, i just put my PPE cooler where factory external cooler was, keeps my trans temps where they should be

I recently switched to a Earls 82500, got it from Summit for little more than half what the ppe cost. It's almost twice the size of my original. I did have to make my own brackets which is pretty easy with some flat stock. The fittings that came out of my lly cooler were a prefect fit, yours might be diffent and need adaptors, they had a few variations of fittings in the 01-05 so I've been told.

Earls 82500. I haven't done any pre or post trans temps, I just got it because it's alot bigger than stock. And I have been driving it minimally to keep the inside clean until I get my built trans installed from Evan. I found it in a diy over on duramax forum.

Just picked up my stage five and runs so much smoother. My builder said there is no problem running two oem coolers in series as long as you don't change diameter anywhere throughout.

My builder is Mike Cole of Cole transmissions in forney Texas and he has been doing allisons for a very long time. I trust him. Thigh on the drive home it never got more than a hair past the quarter mark on the temp gauge.
