some know i 'm just starting to run a 1st delete in my truck at the track been testing on the street and the launch is great it launches hard and smooth but at anything above 16 psi boost i dont loose traction but i have felt a light almost like a shutter but i have 1 bolt siezed on my traction bar that is loose i think i was feeling the chassis shutter but not sure , but was curious how much harder on the trans and drive train the 2nd launch is, have there been any failures ? so far i have high hopes for the track and my sixty foot times ,from what i have tested it seems far easier to stage less fighting the brakes, and less tire slip :D plus no shift till 48 mph gotta be worth .2 or 3 between 60 ft and 1 less shift . btw best 60 to date is 1.8#s

I'm running the same tires as you except 35's on 18" rims. Do you run out 4th gear to the 1320 line or do you shift into 5th?

I'm going to try this 2nd gear business in the next week. If it works out for me, then I'm only going to be making 3 shifts in the quarter which I think will get me in the 12's.

Probably the only thing being punished with 2nd gear starts is the converter. It will stall out higher and heat up more.
