The pan gasket is reusable many times over. I believe the internal filter should be changed at 100k or when you rebuild the tranny or have hard part failure.

The t-case should be filled up with 3 quarts of 5w oil and topped off with 1 quart of tranny fluid. This is just off the top of my head but search around for the exact specs on the t-case.

t-case capacity is 2 qts, however people have been adding an additional quart by removing the speed sensor on the rear half.

ok the only reason i ask about the t- case fill is cause i filled it to the top last time i pulled the tranny and ever sense then the drive shaft yoke keeps clunking i was wondering if i put to much in there and causeing the grease to wash away cause it not there every time i re grease it..also the tranny pan gasket is leaking that why i asked where to get new one .

put 5w-30 synthetic in the case, your choice on what brand. where exactly is it leaking though by location, is it by the nsbu??

i bet its the selector shaft seal behind the nsbu, not the pan gasket. i would pull the nsbu and check for sure though.

Overflow will also leak right by the NSBU. Reach over the top of the Ali and towards the back of the case on top you will be able to touch the overflow valve. See if it's wet.

do as mike said, go underneath and reach up to the overflow and see if it is wet. if it is overfilled, it could leak out the overflow up top like mike stated. .

^^^ yep

You can get the pan gasket at the local auto parts store, when i got a filter kit for a truck it came with one for some reason, they must think it needs to be replaced.
