I farm for a living, and I'm fed up with all the problems our new equipment has been giving me. Out of the last 8 service calls, 7 of them have been problems with DEF. It's so aggravating to have brand new machines, that won't run because of emmisions. I don't know what software is out there, or if there is any software at all to crack the ecms on our Massey machines, but I would pay someone a very pretty penny to "cure" my DEF issues once and for all. We need to cut around 200 acres a day with each machine to get through our crop quickly. If we miss one day of cutting, that could potentially cost us tens of thousands $ per day if one machines not running. With alfalfa, all it takes is a rainstorm, wind, or hailstorm to ruin a crop, so you can see that we would pay alot of money to get this "taken care of". Any ideas anyone?

Deere has egr and def. Massey just has def. We have deeres too. I'd rather drive my masseys.

We have a 8660 mf tractor, and two 9770 mf swathers. Power and fuel consumption are actually extraordinary on the Massey Fergusons. I'm sure ts has the tech to do it, but I don't think a company that big would risk the wrath of big brother. With massey and case already using it, and deere going to def too, I think there will be a strong market for " def fixes" in the near future. Farmers hate being inefficient.

An "on the Radar" company would be shut down in short order if it was doing this and likely fined pretty heavily for pollution. This "problem: may be by-passable by the user/owner of the equipment but don't let anyone know what you have done!

If you have someone with the correct inclinations they could probably figure out what the factory ECU is expecting to see and then replicate it with some electronics, remove the crap, and continue on.
