Did GM stop putting traction control in the TCM?

I thought a broke my trans after racing Sunday I temporary lost my stock TCM file, which I had found later. But, I was going to Mike's shop, so I asked Pat to reflash my truck. So in case it did not fix it, I could have Mike drive my truck. Pat built a tune for my truck using the TechII.

My truck seems to shift even better now and it seems I can even break the tires lose without having the traction control kick in

It's not my fault the bad :witch: came out and wanted to leave new marks in front of Mikes new shop :driving:

Have you guys tried to compare the current new tune to the previous tune like the modded one or one with the same O.S. maybe? Interesting if there is something different

It's on the long list of things to do I only got it updated because I threatened him with my broom :witch:

After El Mirage this weekend I will have him take a look after he get caught up on some other things.

That is what I call it. It will kill power as soon as you break the tires loose. It reminds me of what the Camaro and Vette will do with Traction Control on.

no mine never did. but then again it wouldent run a 12 sec 1/4 stock ether we do have tq limiting tables but never expericed traction controll like you described.

The tq limiting tables screwed me around until I got TCM tuning capabilities. Now it's all good. set tq limiting to .02-good to go!!

I've got a couple LMM's that do it just like you desribe Kat, seems some OS's do it, and some don't. Pulls all timing and fuel, drives me nuts!

Mine doesn't do it either... I was told not to have the dealer reflash my truck when I had P0606 issues b/c they would add T/C to it. Had them reflash it, it shift different, but no T/C so I'm happy

I don't know if the GM update will fix it in the LMM's. Both Ralph and Pat drove Wendy this weekend and confirmed that Wendy is shifting better then ever now :driving:

Original OS 15827766. I don't know if it changed or not and Pat's tuning is dead so it will be a while until he gets a new laptop

Thats the same one im running now.
