Hey guys, I am going to the track tonight and I was putting on some homemade spring hangers but not sure of how forward should I go on the spring. Thanks for any help.

If you mean clamps. I would put them at the end of the overloads on the front side of the axle.

Sorry, yes I meant clamps lol. Thinking kinda fast im a bit nervous! I just put them and I put them as front of the spring as I could. Its right behind the rubber pad the spring has on the last leaf. Thanks

Thank you guys! Well, my best run was a 8.15 at 83.3. My 60 ft was 1.778. It's amazing how much the spring clamps and front hardware help. My launches were very conservitive and was running IdahoRobs street race tune. I had about 3/4 tank of fuel and ran with my 305 50 20 wheels and the tailgate on, just no spare. It was my first time to the track with the new setup and it did great. The rancho shocks did very good to compared to the stocks. I will be going again towards the end of Dec with the race tune should be fun!

Congrats! I'm jealous, wish my first time to the track was a 8.1 or a 1.7 60. Great job

Thanks! I was at the track one time before but did not have any type of suspension hardware, just tierod sleeves. I did however remove the tailgate and ran with a 1/4 tank of fuel. This time around I left the tailgate and lots of fuel but had the suspension ready. No more bouncing around at the track!

Is your truck 4wd? I know you have a completely different setup, what rpms/ boost were u able to leave the line at? I'm grabbing some clamps before my next trip to the track, I keep hearing how well they actually work.

Yes it's 4x4. I really didn't look at the boost but the rpm's were at about 1800. Before the clamps the rear bounced a lot, now it just shot forward. One time the front spinned a little but quickly gained traction.

Nice work Roly! The street tune is fun, but throw in the race tune and hang on!
