towing

Hi I need an answer about towing. When I am towing my fifthwheel and sometimes my boat and the transmission gets to about half warm on the gauage the truck seems to growl for a period of time and almost semms sluggish. Then it kicks in agian and works fine.. A friend says its fan cluth but I dont think so any ideas

Most likely the fan clutch...

sounds about right... your fan will kick on from time to time.... whens the last time you changed your fuel filter??? an how about when you frist start the truck up and then drive it?? is that the same sound your hearing???

it's time to change the filter. I changed it about 10,000 km ago. Yes sometimes when I first start the truck up and go when its cold it is similar.
