LLY: Tow Tune help

My buddy ask me to tune his truck for him. Its his DD and he tows his camper with it. I was thinking about trying the 20/20 tow tune write up. Im doing this as a favor not getting paid for it. I was just wondering if someone could help me out ive never tuned a LLY and some of the tables are alot diffrent. With the 20/20 tow tune how much extra HP are you looking at and how are the EGT's? It has a stock trans and no guages.

I would proably bump pressure from 160 to 170-5 ish in the fuel table but you would proabably need to shim the rail.

I would increase the pw 50mm3+ and 100mpa+ areas in 5% increases untill he is happy

Follow the 50/50 calculator and keep the timng a little higher in the midrange to help keep EGTs down and increase fuel mileage ( i like 8*)


boost table i would probably leave the same and control it with the vane tables
it will get better mileage if you keep it in the map and lower the vane tables as much as possible that it still spool.....lower drive press this way

Here's one that is based off of the 20-20 tune, with a little more pulse width...Not exactly sure of the HP increase, maybe 60-70...

Your friend's playing with fire to be towing with no gauges and the bumped up tune, IMO...
