Question: Touching Up Peeling Paint

My white LBZ has peeling paint on the inside of the tailgate and on the roof. I am looking for advice on how to touch this up and have it look decent. I mainly just want to seal up the edges to stop the peeling from continuing and cover up the bald spots. The spots are approx. 6" x 6". It doesn't have to be perfect, as I plan to repaint when time/funds allow. It just needs to last and match the factory paint half-ass close.
Since, I'm here. Any advice or tips on touching up rock chips as well?

Only real other way is to sand down and either use a can or spray gun. I have literally patches I can pull off my roof, but they are know for that. What ever they used as a primer/ adhesion promoter from the factory did not work as the paint does not stick.

I have used spray cans several times and it's held up well and looked good if you take the proper steps for prep work and finishing. A gun is your best bet if you want it to look perfect and match up well.

This is not a temperory fix but my 07 van is peeling on the roof. So I bought viper(Sherman Williams)tintable bed liner to go over the roof. And a pint of color match paint. Just a idea
