What are your thoughts on the Torque Tech 1? My truck just went into it's 3rd Reduced Power mode in a week. The crap is coming off and I need it done before the weekend is over. PPE does not have an EFI Live in stock ready to go and they suggested the T1.

PACougar,
Where do you get your Methanol from? You are obviously not using winter windshield washer fluid, which I found out was illegal in California the day after I installed my injection system. Are you running to Reno to buy it?

I wanted to use the EFI Live but they said that I could not get one before Friday. I have to get the whole job done by this Sunday. It would save me $500 if I could find an EFI Live.

I would make a new post and see if someone local can help you out. This forum has a lot of great people.

Just got off the phone with Diesel Power Products and they said the same thing the Pure DPF said - It takes average 3 business days to receive a EFI Live programmed by Kory.:( If I did not have to be back to work (transporter) on Monday then I could wait for it to arrive. The nice thing about the Torque Tech 1 is that it has a screen that will show 5 parameters at a time with a total of 11 parameters that you can choose to see.

Have you actually tried contacting Kory. Obviously I can't speak for him, but from my experience if you explained what's going on he may be able to take care of you.

Hey PACougar, the dealership in Fillmore, CA told me that my methanol injector was letting air in to the intake and they disconnected the nozzle and installed a plug in the intake. I only noticed the hp increase and never the fuel mpg's. For the extra $4.00 a gallon spent on the fluid that I use 5 gallons per fuel fill up, I did not see a worthwhile happy with the purchase investment. That's just my own personal opinion on the Snow brand.

It's ordered and on it's way

I'm so excited and nervous about my purchase and decision to delete the dpf & def from my truck. But this past week's 3 times to the dealerships to take care of my limp mode was the straw that broke the camel's back. I just hope that it will be a long time before I get busted for no emissions, as this is a daily driver that I average putting 11,000 miles on monthly.

I live in Phoenix and I travel to LA quite a bit. I would say that I do about 70% of my business in California. I was on my way to Thousand Oaks when my truck went into limp mode at Magic Mountain and I made it all the way to Fillmore where I spent 4 days at the Best Western Hotel.. That temporary fix - a forced regen, got me back to Phoenix before it went back into limp mode for the 3rd time in a week.

FedEx has just left some goodies at my doorstep... I installed the tuner and it has cleared the limp mode and my truck is running again. Next is the exhaust system install. So far, I am a very happy man. It is nice to have my truck back and working again.

Hope you don't intend to drive it far with the dpf electronically deleted but still bolted into the truck. It will become a cork in your exhaust pretty quick.

Decided to stay home and install the exhaust system in the driveway. If you are doing a complete exhaust system install do not watch the You Tube videos - mainly because those are not 2011 or newer vehicles. The front DPF catalytic converter has to be cut out of the vehicle. No easy way to just twist and wiggle it to come out. Take a sawzall and cut in front of the hangar and the two pipes will just come right out. Also be very careful with the electrical connections when trying to unplug them - very fragile especially the DEF tube. Yep, broke that one for sure...
I hope that I don't ever have to re-install the factory system as the little sensors and connectors look expensive. Did I say that I am pretty much a bull in a china shop. The front catalytic converter has little grains of catalyst falling out everywhere - which I originally figured was the culprit of my limp mode and non-warranty failure. The last time that I checked it was a $1275 part to replace and you would have to take the crossmember off to do the install. So 3 hrs. labor plus parts = too much for a non-California truck.
The front DPF sensor was very dirty and the rear one came out clean looking. this is a heavy exhaust system so you should have help when crawling around underneath your truck. OH and all the nuts are metric, except for down pipe clamp nut...
