Im hoping you guys can help me out with an issue im having with my truck. Its an lmm and have just got efi for it. Ive given it a little more power via B1161 thru B1164 tables
and now im noticing the 3-4 shift is defueling more than stock. I tried to log it and am trying to figure out what its using to calculate defuel. I did try to "smooth" out torque based fuel a little but caused it to flare a little.

Any help would be most gratefully received.

Thankyou

your torque tables are about the only thing to adjust in the ecm for shift quality. the rest is in the transmission but be very careful with adjustments there. you can break things real fast if done wrong. it is very possible that you just need to let the transmission adapt to the new torque for it to start shifting fine again. this may take several hundred miles with lots of shifts through the gears to do

In my experience with the lmm, leave majority of the torque tables alone. The only thing I do is make it linear (no random spikes) up the rpm band at a given torque value. You can leave that be, but it gets rid of the random accelerations/decels. Also, the lmm only reads up to roughly 1000-1100 for torque. Thats wide open. Knowing that, you can make any adjustments for max fueling etc..

The trans will take a bit to iron out the shifts, but trust me, it will figure them out and adapt. Dont try and do anything fancy in the tune to help it, because you wont.

I appreciate the feedback. I guess im just trying to further understand the torque based fuel tables. Based off of how unsmooth they are to an extent they have to be able to be adjusted to give smoother shift feel at higher torque. Im guestimating its just around 50-60 hp extra with no real amount of extra torque in the low end.
