I thought I asked this before however I can't find the post. Can u use a Topkick ally in a pickup and if so r the changes needed extensive. We have a Lly Topkick ally that we wanted to use in our 08 pickup?

Need to change the bell housing.

And also...what year LLY? 04-05? If so, you'll need to change the valve body too because the 04-05 LLY topkick will be a 5-speed trans/VB

It's a built Trans. Hence the reason for change. So if we swap vb we should change the shift kit parts also correct? What's the diff with the bell housing?

2500/3500 trucks used the standard 90 degree GM bellhousing bolt pattern, 4500/5500 used the round SAE bellhousing bolt pattern. If it is a 5 speed ALLISON you would have to swap bellhousings, shift shaft, IMS, and valve body to make it work, but it would seem counter productive to step back to a trans that doesn't have the improved internals and C1/C2 drum.

Yeah that's a bit diff. So u guys don't think it's worth it even though its built. We r selling the Topkick and just could not c selling it with it. If we could use it. It don't really add value
