i'll be installing my s472 and losing the stock turbo soon. im just trying to avoid needing a tool in the middle of this project. its already gonna take a while. so i was wanting a list of the tools required for the project, especially any kind of "special" tool, like a pivoting rachet, etc....thanks guys

a pivoting ratchet helps , i have a double pivot one that is my favorite , and you need a very good 12mm 12 point socket for the up pipe bolts , and down pipe bolts , and a very big tub of "elbow grease " , other than that most tool sets have whats required .

and maybe a cheater pipe for that flexible headed ratchet. It helps to take out the pass side inner fender for up pipe and down pipe bolts!

no you can't get to them all through the PS inner fender well. some you have to do from up top. Heat from a torch would help a bunch. Even a hand held propane jobby will do wonders.a good 12 point 12mm socket thats not deep well like trent said will do wonders. All yea, GOOD LUCK lol. The hardest thing to do is a stock turbo IMHO Ive done 4 turbo swaps now and it seems like the bigger the turbo the easier it is.

I know mine were a PIA and I had the trans out! Had to take the smoke wrench to a couple of the bolts so I didnt snap anything.
