Seeing as I've only recently bought my first diesel truck and I'm 22 years old. The only tools I have are tools of my trade in the HVAC field.
I am curious as to what tools I should start investing in in order to continue doing modifications on my truck.
What are y'alls day to day tools that you use, and what tools/brands do you recommend?
Thanks.

You should be just fine with a good set of standard hand tools including Allen wrenches and torque wrench and angle meter if you have to do head gaskets or more. Also a 3/4" drive ratchet set is nice in the event you have to change the water pump. Not a necessity but less likely to break when using the starter to break the balancer bolt loose. Also if you have an lb7 the injector removal tool and injector cup remover are good to have

All depends on what you want to spend really. I have mostly snap on stuff at work mostly for warranty and if I break something it's easy to swap out on the truck bar my shop I use mostly craftsman and cheapo parts store brands seams I'm always needing some tool and just run to parts to get it

any decent size tool kit with allen head an torx bits should suffice for the majority of jobs it has for me
