Dale Sr held a certain respect, not only from fellow drivers, but from the France family (the powers that be in NASCAR) as well. There is no driver out there today that can wear that right shoe.

Tony is a real racer, and is not afraid to speak his mind like was mentioned. He and Kyle Busch (though he is in a Toyota) are the best out there today imo.

I believe the tire situation stems from the amount of front downforce and front-end geometry on the cot, which is now magnified on the plate tracks. All the testing was done at Talladega, and now there they are at Daytona (which is a handling track) the problem is magnified even more. Goodyear seems ill-prepared with no other competition, and Tony is right to call them out.

I lost my interest in NASCAR anymore, the races are akin to flushing Skittles down a toilet, but there is something that draws me to Daytona.

ya the date is way old but stewart is once again yelling at goodyear.



tony is not the only one similar to dale sr. Harvick stepped in a filled those shoes but has been under strict supervision due to past dealings with people.... they seem to allow tony to do his own thing...

If goodyear can build a soft or hard tire, why cant they build us consumers one that will last a 100,000 miles? :rolleyes:

Love tony stewart, He doesnt take any shit. And Loved his comment after the Nationwide race yesterday,

Well...they make shit for car tires IMHO. I'll never use them again. Had shit on my VW Jetta, had shit on my boat trailer, had shit on my RV, and on my old F350. All had issues.

x2.....The worst is the way his company is being run into the ground..........like I said there is something that draws me to Daytona though. Probably the history that Dale had there. Also, I spent a few years there at Speedweeks, I was at the exit of turn 2 on 2-18-01 :(

Dale Sr. was the best. Too bad that Teresa couldn't support Jr. or the rest of the team like they deserved. I like Harvick too, I picked him up the day he got in the Goodwrench Chevy. Someone has since tamed him down, which is too bad IMO.

Looks like they blistered a lot of tires today too.

Its good to see other Stewart fans :hug: as far as the good years .... I use to be a wholesale salesman for one of the largest Goodyear dealers in New England and I can tell you they are a huge POS tire

IMO...Dale Jr finally drove like an Earnhardt.....and then was criticized for it.

I hated to see THE Daytona 500 called for rain......biggest race of the year, for both teams and fans....NASCAR can get it in and they make little to no effort to do so........on par for the sad state of the sport.

I can't stand to watch the races anymore. I've always loves the NHRA waaaaaay more. I always try and watch Daytona though. It's something about that race.

When Jr took out Vickers............I was like "hell yeah"!!!!!!!

When I seen that Kyle Busch was knocked out also..............I was laughing. He is a great driver, maybe that's why myself and a lot of people don't like him. Kinda like Jeff Gordon:rolleyes:
