Cousin has a 2001 dmax and states that some times coming to a stop trans won't down shift to first gear. Some times it won't go into reverse for a few seconds. Also has went into limp mode once or twice on him locking in 3rd gear. I pulled the codes this morning. All seemed ok after clearing the codes but a few of those didn't look like very pleasant codes reading the discription. Whats your guys opinion? Time for a rebuild? Its a stock alli

Some of those codes are just lost communication codes, which could be as simple as cleaning and checking connections and or looking for chaffed wires, some are can-bus related, some are stored codes saying there is an issue, one is a pressure switch E solenoid stuck open...

that's allot of codes bro...

Have you pulled the external filter and cut it open yet? Have you Dropped the pan and taken a look see, when was the last time the fluid was changed?

Is the truck tuned? For how long? Mileage?

I'd guess a rebuild is in order...but I don't know much...

Oh boy!!! Def. Listen to make if he isn't busy. Patients is a virtue! Especially with one of these. I replaced aloootttt of stuff on mine like tone wheels tcms nsbu sensors all of it. Trans was built a yr. Ago and has never had any problems till that day. Two weeks of chasing problems back and forth to trans guy to assure it was nothing internal..... stripped trans harness and it was a dang busted wire!!! Just remember two ears and one mouth ;) good luck man!

Truck is stock. Has about 145k on it. Had a recent nsbu switch installed prob in the last 25k. Truck has had a hard life with pulling heavy trailers.
