Im not curious to know what everyone is running but im more just wondering is what are the possibilties inside the motor if you are running to heavy of oil when its cold? Does it put stress on your internals like your flexplate or on your starter and thats when you dont have it plugged in so its real nice and cold?

Cen-Pe-Co makes a 20W-50 Diesel Racing oil.................but I wouldn't reccomend it for stock motors/stock bearing clearance.

I've never seen anything in writing, but from my experience....which ain't much, I'd say you need just a little more than stock. I'm not gonna' throw any numbers out.............no need to start that!
I don't think it takes very much to be able to run the 50 weight in southern climate. I ran 20W-50 in mine through the winter here and actually kept 1 quart of Lucas in there also during the summer. That seemed to work good for me...............................but, I did just break a crank!!:D
Did you just put new bearings in?? I'd just pay close attention to you oil pressure gauge during warm-up and at full temp hot idle................that will tell you what you need.:thumb:
On a side note..........I'm ready-to-go for work-stock this year!:thumb:

I ran it it mine Travis and love this oil! It never changed much on the oil pressure when I swapped from bulk to cen-peco
coldest morning I started Abby outside. And it was around 40f it was a lil high but I wouldn't worry about it
