Finally getting the suspension to work for us, with all the front weight.

Russ what transmission are you running in that? Also how was the transplant into that car? I may have my hands on an LBZ motor with full wiring and a 4L85E on the back of it.

What did you end up having to do, Russ?
She really twists.

Playing around with air pressures, and added an air bag to the RR so far. We are trying not to do anything drastic to the suspension, so it can go back to stock for when Rick puts his LB7 back in.

Lookin good Russ:thumb:
So can I assume the 1/4 times are getting better? What is it down to now?

It's almost cutting 1.4's, and I think we might be able to squeeze a 1.3 out of it if we hit the tires hard. We lost something in the spare Trans (T400) this weekend, the race Trans was at Hughes getting a health check before Montana and Texas.. The trans checked out 100% healthy, the converter was scrap. They are building us a one off 13" lockup converter since the 10.5 couldnt hang. Better times.. ;) we have a race in Montana coming up.

Rick has been running a T400 with Gear Vendor and 290 gear since 07 behind a stock LB7. This year my XP5 PG with race Gear Vendor is in it (most of the time), and upgraded to a Strange 9.25" rear end with a Pro 2.90 gear. We tried five times to get the 10.5" XP converter tight enough before we ran out of options. Hughes is making us a custom one off 13" lockup converter to start testing now.

The motor fits in the factory Chevelle location with modified SBC solid mounts, it's pretty straight foward. 4L85 might be a good choice depending on what your plans are, the Chevelle might have one next year.
