tires on rims on the LMM

Just picked up some new rims, II Crave NX-4 in a 20x9 +0 offset. Tires are a used set of 305/50r20 Cooper Zeon LTZ (yes, I know the load rating!)

I picked the rims because I have yet to see another truck running these here in Houston, who wants to have the same thing as everyone else?? LOL! I see my old incubus 8-karat (or mazzi hulk) rims every where down here. I loved them, just too common.

The tires are doing good so far, I have not and will not be towing with any tongue weight with them. If I need to make a long haul with the gooseneck I will be swapping out to my 245's on stock rims to make the trip. The tires are rated to 3087lbs, I'm certain they can handle daily driving and occasional loads. Thats actually more load rating than the stock E rated 245's. But the sidewall will be the weak spot on the Coopers!

Tire Wheel Connection in Houston for 870 cash out the door.

Found the set of tires for 150 used with maybe 30% tread left. Saw it as an opportunity to try the 305/50r20 out. So far I like these tires a lot better than the 305/55r20 nittos I had!:thumb:

I bought my rims through http://www.performanceplustire.com/

I ordered them when i was deployed, They assigned me a personal agent to go through. Had to call them because I was shipping to address other than my billing. So I called, and when they found out where I was. They apologized for making me call, and told me I should have just emailed them. And they gave me a free set of lugnuts to go along with the rims/tires.

Did right by me and super fast shipping. Would order from them again in heartbeat.

It's funny you say that! The reason I went ahead and put 20's and good tires back on is to help keep me from doing the dumb stuff like I did with the stock tires/rims. My brother and I did donuts in College Station, TX until the back tires were as smooth as your hand a couple of nights ago! Only tread left was on the very outer edge...needless to say my wife was irate!! She's been wanting me to put 20's back on so I bit the bullit and i'm thinking that knowing the tires cost so much more will keep me from smoking them down! maybe...maybe not!! lol!! :joker:

The truck is running a 480rwhp tune thanks to JoshH. It runs like a scalded :bootyshake: ape!!

The other spot had a perfect donut that was deep black and couldn't have been drawn on the road any better!!

Wheels and tires

Good looking wheels and tires...I live about 65 miles east of Baytown and the best place I found for a good deal on wheels/tires is Max Brill @ Carr's Tires on N. Main in Baytown. He beats anyone I have found!!!
