The set of tires being replaced now on my truck are 285/75/16 Wild Country Radial RVT's.............. I cannot find the max weight load specs on these tires anywhere on the internet so I don't have anything to compare to for new tires..
So, my question is...........
I am going to get some Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's. I wanted to run a 305/70/16 because I like the look of the extra width, but the max weight load is less than a 285. The loads are as follows:
305/70/16 - 2910 with 20/32 tread depth
285/75/16 - 3305 with 20/32 tread depth.
I know they are both load range D, but is the 2910 max load enough for this truck....???
I don't haul anything to heavy hardly ever. The heaviest thing I will haul is a John Deere 830 Tractor on dual axle trailer, which I use to haul on my '03 Z71 with 305/70/16 and 285/75/16 BFG All Terrains on it at one point or another.
Other than that, nothing real heavy.
Any advice.....???? Other than....dude don't run a 305 on a stock wheel......(I've seen it done A LOT with no problems, so the width of the tire is not a concern of mine.)
