OMG! so I am going up the road in my city at 2130hrs 9:30pm sorry and there is a tire coming right at me and my truck just moving. I was in the left lane big curb on my left, small car on my right and a small car just behind me. I try to slow and then swerve left but it clips my right front bumper. My truck is lifted so it hits the right lower fog light takes that out hits the tie rod then hit my lift.

I get out take a look, not to bad some damage, find the car that lost it wheel and then it starts. 15 year old driver no license, vehicle is not registered, but thank god he has insurance. Police come and do a great job and document every single little scratch on the front end and find a gash in my three day old kumho kl78 37 inch tires that sit on 22" XD wheels. So all in all could have been alot worse and about 3000 total damage to the Vehicle but my Dmax held up and went right over the 17" tire and wheel and she did not miss a beat.

Just my two cents

Rusk, Tx. Again
couple of years ago, my girlfriends daughter got hit by some 17 year old kid in Longview Tx. She is ok, but scared for life. Kid had no insurance, no D/L, and ran a red light. And the car was in his name. Kid got off scott free. No money for lawyers. Cops did NOTHING. Didn't even give him a &**^%(& ticket. So yes. Good thing he had insurance. Hope it all works out ok.

I was at a fast food place walking back to my truck to leave a few years ago when this happened. Jeep Cherokee gets in the center turn lane and I hear this horrible noise...turn around and see this thing sitting nose into the ground in the road. Me and some trucker look at each other, laugh a bit, and run out to help. She was like, 19 or 20, and was coming home from her "uncles shop", where she just had her tires rotated. Apparently they didn't torque the front left down, and it came right off at full speed. Brake rotor was 1/2 gone, and the girl and her passenger were a wreck. Hooked her up too my truck, pulled the thing into the parking lot, and got the Napa a few stores down to donate a few lug nuts for this poor gal. i just hope she did what we said and went straight to a different shop to get it fixed!

 Glad everyone was OK

x2!!

Back before my Dad retired from the highway patrol, he was cruising down the freeway and saw a big truck tire and rim bouncing down the median. It missed him but nailed a mini van a couple cars behind him. Made a big mess of the van and put a few people in the hospital. Truck driver drove 25 miles before my dad caught up to him and got him stopped. The driver had no idea he lost a drive tire!!
